Terms of service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of https://growchem.co.uk and to orders placed through our online store. Please read them before placing an order.
Nothing in these terms limits or removes any rights you have under UK consumer law.

2. Using our website
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to place an order.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code or use it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to an order are those in force when the order is placed. Changes will not apply retrospectively to orders we have already accepted.
3. Product information and safe use
We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, photographs, weights and other information are accurate. Product packaging or appearance may occasionally vary from the images shown, but this will not materially affect the product.
Please read the product description, label, instructions and safety information before purchase and use. Products must be stored, handled and used only as directed. Keep products away from children and pets where instructed.
Only products expressly described as food grade or suitable for culinary use should be used in food or drink. Other products, including fertilisers and garden products, must not be consumed.
General information on our website is not medical, veterinary or other professional advice. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for a particular purpose, please contact us before use or obtain appropriate professional advice.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is free to eligible delivery postcodes.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment service providers and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We try to ensure all prices are correct. If we identify a pricing or product-information error before dispatch, we will contact you and offer the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. If we cannot contact you, we may cancel and refund the order.
5. Orders and formation of the contract
When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket. An order acknowledgement confirms that we received your order; it does not mean that we have accepted it.
The contract between you and Gro Chem is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been dispatched. Each dispatch forms a separate contract if an order is sent in more than one parcel.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch for a legitimate reason, including lack of stock, an obvious pricing or description error, payment failure, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions or a legal or safety concern. If payment has already been taken, we will provide a full refund.
6. Delivery
We offer free express delivery to eligible delivery postcodes, including the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Wight and Isle of Man. Delivery normally takes approximately 1–2 working days after dispatch. We do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands. Remote areas may take longer, and postcode eligibility will be confirmed at checkout.
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday, or before 11am on Saturday, are normally dispatched the same day. Orders placed after the cut-off are normally dispatched on the next available dispatch day.
We do not dispatch on Sundays or bank holidays.
Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. Courier disruption, severe weather and bank holidays may result in longer delivery times.
We will deliver to the address provided at checkout.
You are responsible for checking that the address and postcode are complete and correct before submitting the order. Contact us immediately if you notice an error, although we cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after processing begins.
Your ordered products remain our responsibility until they come into the physical possession of you or a person you have identified to receive them.
If delivery is materially delayed, your legal rights—including any right to cancel and receive a refund—remain unaffected.
7. Changing or cancelling an order before dispatch
Contact us immediately if you want to change or cancel an order. We will do our best to help, but orders are processed quickly and changes cannot be guaranteed.
If an order has already been dispatched, you may need to use the cancellation and returns process below.
8. Change-of-mind cancellation and returns
If you are a consumer buying online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
You must tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after the day you receive the products. If an order arrives in separate deliveries, the cancellation period runs from the day after you receive the last item.
You may contact us by email or use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms. You must return the products within 14 days after telling us that you wish to cancel.
Please contact us before sending a return so that we can provide the correct instructions. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, returns should be sent to: Gro Chem Limited, Unit 10, C R Bates Industrial Estate, Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire, HP14 3PD.
Please return products securely packaged and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging. You may inspect products as you would in a shop, but we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what was necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Unless the products are faulty, damaged, incorrect or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning a change-of-mind order.
We recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage.
We will refund the full price paid for the product.
We do not have to refund any additional amount paid for a premium delivery service. The refund will be made using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.
We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned products or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever happens first. We will then process the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after that date.
When the change-of-mind right may not apply
The statutory right to cancel may not apply to:
- products made to your specification or clearly personalised;
- products liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; or
- sealed products that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
These exceptions do not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of UK consumer law.
9. Damaged, faulty, incorrect or missing products
Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Your remedies are governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Please contact us as soon as possible if an order is damaged, faulty, incorrect or incomplete. For transit damage, we ask that you contact us ideally within 48 hours and provide your order number and photographs of the product, outer packaging and delivery label. This helps us investigate with the courier, but it does not reduce your statutory rights.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we will arrange an appropriate refund, replacement, or price reduction. We will cover reasonable return costs where products are faulty, damaged or supplied incorrectly.
Consumers normally have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery. These rights are subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and are not limited by these terms.
10. Refunds
Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to credit the funds after we have processed the refund.
Nothing in this section changes the statutory refund deadlines that apply to cancelled orders or faulty goods.
11. Promotions and discount codes
Promotions and discount codes may have separate conditions, including expiry dates, qualifying products and minimum order values. Unless stated otherwise, only one discount code may be used per order.
We may withdraw or correct a promotion where there is an obvious error, fraud, misuse or another legitimate reason, but this will not affect orders already accepted unless the law allows otherwise.
12. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, provided that we take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and keep you informed where appropriate.
This does not remove any right you may have to cancel because of late or failed delivery, or any other right that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Our responsibility to consumers
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed.
If you are a consumer, we supply products for domestic and private use. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, contracts or business opportunity, arising from consumer use.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of your statutory rights relating to the products; or
- any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Business customers
If you purchase products wholly or mainly for business purposes, the statutory consumer cancellation rights in section 8 do not apply. Any separate written trade terms agreed with us will take priority if they conflict with these terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable to a business customer for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or goodwill. Subject to liabilities that cannot legally be limited, our total liability for a business order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.
15. Privacy and cookies
We process personal information in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law and our Privacy Policy. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
Please read those policies before using the website. They should be available through the website footer.

If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts and will retain any mandatory protections available under the law where you live.
20. General terms
If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue in effect.
If we delay enforcing a right, that does not mean we have waived it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms only where this does not reduce your rights. You may transfer your rights only with our written agreement, except where the law permits otherwise.
No person other than you and Gro Chem Limited has a right to enforce these terms.
